Introducing the new Pre-Fall 21 collection by Lee Mathews. Inspired by the Bloomsbury Group and the rich artful interiors and wild gardens of the Charleston House, the collection offers a discerning sense of escapism mixed with English sensibility – a direction that pays homage to the influences behind Lee’s own artistic career and practice.
An ode to her time living in London during the 80’s, Lee Mathews incorporates subtle punk references with chunky vests and oversized anoraks but underpins the range with flowing dresses and feminine pleating that are signature to the brand’s DNA.
Shot at the Wynstay Property in the Blue Mountains, having only just recovered from the Summer bushfires that tore through the region twelve months before, the look book is designed to take you on a trip to the English Countryside for a short stroll through the garden. The property was visited regularly by Australian Writer Patrick White in the 1930’s, who is a key influence for this collection.
